I am the oldest of three and have been watching over my little twin brothers since I was 12 years old. Before moving to Colorado I lived in Florida, where I was a camp counselor at Camp Wekiva for the ages of 3-5 year olds. I did this for two summers before moving here. In high school I picked up small babysitting jobs for neighbors and family friends watching kids from the ages 6-12 years old, being in charge of watching them, driving them to summer activities and keeping them busy. I have always had a passion for children and education which had a lot to do with why I majored in Political Science because I want to be on the policy side of education. I just graduated from Colorado State University with my bachelors and currently have a part time job but am looking for another summer job and Read more figured I would do something I have always love doing. I consider myself a leader which is a skill that is very important for babysitting, during my college years at Colorado State University I was a site leader for a program called Alternative Spring Break, where I lead a group of college students during spring break to do service learning and focusing on different issue areas within the region we were at. My last year I lead a group to Austin Texas where we focused on education and did some work in YMCA places and working one on one with "at risk youth". I also am a person that is very responsible with time and take pride on being on time or earlier. I love being around kids of all ages and it is easy for me to make connections and plan out fun things to do for all ages of kids.
