I am a social work major who currently works at an elementary school as an intern social worker. I am passionate about giving kids the ability to express themselves and have agency over their lives all while giving them healthy structure and boundaries. My favorite babysitting activities are playing pretend or “house”, going for walks, and keeping kids engaged in activities that aren’t attached to screens. I LOVE any board game (specially family games like charades and Exploding Kittens). I have been described as warm and social, communicative, and understanding of diverse needs. I am an older sister to 9y/o and 16 y/o sisters. I come from a big family that consisted of 32 cousins! I always found myself babysitting for an aunt or uncle, so I decided to choose a career with children. In my early college career, I worked in the clinical setting co-facilitating recovery groups with middle Read more school and high school aged teens, so I have experience with high intensity outbursts and emotional regulation strategies. A fun fact about me: My parents are originally from the Dominican Republic, and I have spent a good chunk of time in the island myself— which means I can also help with Spanish homework!
