I know this sounds cliché but when I was a young girl there was nothing I wanted more than to get my education and become a wife and mother. I was a teenage babysitter but in college during my summers off from nursing school I was a fulltime nanny for 2 year old triplets. The following summers I had five children with their 2 cousins under age 2 joining our days. I graduated with my BSN from Regis University and was a Air Force nurse specializing in women and infant care. Most of my career was spent in the newborn and special care nurseries but I also specialized in infertility and family practice. Premies and newborns are still a favorite of mine! We were blessed with 3 children of our own (including 2 premies). Being a part time RN allowed me the luxury of making my family and extended family Read more my priority. I was known as the family social director since I always had events/activities planned. Now here we are almost "empty nesters". I do miss the baby days. I've been an RN 23 years and our youngest daughter is now a senior so I recently resigned from family practice. Hubby calls it my "early retirement" but I'm too young for that. We look forward to the day we have our own grandbabies but until then I can enjoy the little ones of others. I've been a caregiver my entire life including a special needs child and elderly parent. My availability will vary day to day but I prefer days until 3p (when my husband is off work). If watching your little ones in my home we could help during an afternoon or evening. Parents need breaks and ongoing "quality couple time". I look forward to meeting you all.
