Hi! Thank you for posting an opportunity to care for you and your family. I was a preschool teacher in Champaign, IL during college in 1993. I moved to Madison, WI with my husband who got his PhD there and I was a nanny and preschool teacher there. When he graduated, we moved to Denver. I worked at Swedish Medical Center's preschool until 2000. I work full time at a University and simply miss the kiddo energy. I'm looking to pick up part time opportunities to return to the caregiver role I love so much. I've worked with infants through 4th grade. I am a caregiver by nature. I find myself the most fulfilled when I am caring for children and animals. I love being a parent. My 3 children are now adults. I've recently spent a lot of time with and babysitting for my 7 grandchildren who range in age from 1 to 12 years old. I was the primary caregiver for my granddaughter since birth until recently when she turned 5. I have 15+ years experience in babysitting. My passion for child care first started at a young age while my mother provided daycare in our home, taking care of children from the age of 6 weeks old to Pre-k age. As a result of that experience I became skilled in taking care of infants to toddlers. Later on out of high school I was an after-school teacher at my local elementary school. When I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 22 I developed a passion and resources to go abroad and work with children over seas.
