Hello all! My name is Halston Smith and I recently moved here from Texas. After obtaining my Bachelors degree in Business and securing a job with a top technology company, I decided the corporate world was not for me, and I moved to Colorado to eventually pursue my dream of going to nursing school. I want to go to nursing school because I have a true passion for helping people! I am known as the 'funny one' of my group of friends because I constantly love to bring a smile to the faces of those around me. Regarding experience, I have been babysitting for the past 10 years. My first family to babysit was when I was 14. Most of my experience was throughout high school and college. Currently, I am a periodic nanny for two fantastic kids in Boulder, whenever their parents go out of town. In Texas, my Read more experience with kids included: -Babysitting (high school and college) -Nannying (during college) -Working in a Montessori school (junior year of high school) -Working in a daycare facility in a gym (during college) -Volunteering for Mentor San Marcos (organization like Big Brothers, Big Sisters, in college) The most kids I have babysat at one time was 9! I think of myself more than just a babysitter- rather a friend and someone who truly likes hanging out with the kids. I enjoy board games, going outside, puzzles, and pretty much anything the kids would enjoy doing! I can also help with any type of school activity (I graduated Magna Cum Laude) for I enjoy learning and teaching, as well. If asked to describe myself, I would say I am trustworthy, loyal, dependable, and responsible. At the same time, I am also outgoing and I know how to have a great time.
