Hello Denver families! My name is Emmy and I am a Special Education teacher who grew up between New Zealand and Golden. I have had a passion for working with kids with disabilities and all children my whole life and studied Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado. I have taught in preschool, elementary and middle schools and love creating strong relationships with students that empower them to be their authentic selves, challenge themselves and build independence. I have over 10 years paid experience in teaching and caregiving, including working in respite care and in a ski preschool. Most recently I worked as a Special Educator at a elementary school in Queenstown, New Zealand. I love supporting kids in building confidence, exploring new things and expanding their knowledge of the world. In my spare time I love to be involved in my community through service groups, do art, get Read more outside and travel. I am back in Colorado for the summer and would love to support some families with caregiving, babysitting, tutoring or whatever else you may need. I can support children of all ages and abilities with compassion, patience and curiosity. I look forward to meeting you!
