Hello. My name is Kaitlin Kennedy, and I am 29 years old. I am currently in the last year of my master's Program for Social Work. I have worked with children for 7 years now. I was a preschool teacher for about 3 years; I than transitioned into working with special needs kids at a public school, I then interned with foster kids and foster families while I was finishing my undergrad in Social Work. After I obtained my degree, I worked with at risk youth for a year as a treatment counselor and after that job I transitioned into the hospital and worked with severally ill patients that were battling eating disorders. In that position I paid close attention to their mental health needs and assisted them through the process of recovery. While I was in this position I took on another job role with children that struggle with severe mental health needs, I was a bachelor level counselor here and ran therapeutic groups. I am currently a CNA at the UC health hospitals in the northern region, I work at 3 of them (Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley).
