Hello! I’m Raena. I always find that I learn so much from the kids I nanny. Taking a year off in between my bachelor’s degree and masters in music therapy to be a nanny taught me so many life lessons. It was such an honor to be a nanny for a lovely little girl starting when she was a 3-month-old ending when she was 16 months old. I have three little brothers and many cousins, so kids have always been a part of my life. I’ve been a sitter for many years! I have nannied for the sweet baby I mentioned above, and I’ve also worked as a summer camp counselor, (so much fun, and lots of energy!) volunteered in a music therapy department with kids in a hospital, and nannied a 5 year old during my undergraduate years. Working as a Residential Advisor in college also led me to Read more become CPR certified, BLS certified, and MHFA certified (Mental Health First Aid). I love art, music, dance, outdoors, and most of all play! One of my favorite pictures of myself is when I was nannying with this 5-year-old and we were playing tag in princess dresses! I am conversational in ASL, French, and Spanish, so language is one of my passions as well. If you think I would be a fit for your kiddos, it would be an honor to teach them new things, and learn many new things myself. As an aside, I have completed a recent background check for my Masters program, so though it does not show currently, I can send the results of the background check!
