Hi there! My name is Autumn Baumgartner and I am a junior at Colorado Mesa. I am majoring in psychology with an emphasis in child psychology. I have always had a desire to have a formative impact on the youth. I believe an interpersonal connection with a child and their family can further the child's ability to thrive, because they know they have a support system. I have done 10+ hours volunteering at Volunteer Listeners, a program furthering kindergartners through second graders comprehension and reading skills. Additionally, I tutor at Riverside Education Center, furthering reading comprehension and mathematical learning. However, I specialize in STEM lesson planning, behavioral management, and assessing learning comprehension. Additionally, I babysat two brothers, a 3 year old and 9 year old. My task was to take them on fun adventures over summer, such as the Nature and Science Museum. Also, I helped their breakfast, lunch, and Read more dinner and helped with chores around the house. Even more so, I currently babysit two wonderful girls, 5 and 7. I help take them to school and provide a fun loving time for them while their parents are away. Lastly, I took a semester long internship centering around learning how to interact with children to spark their interests, create lesson plans, and engage children.
