With over nine years experience as a nanny and an additional two years as a preschool teacher, I am passionate about providing an engaging and developmentally supportive environment for children. I started my career in childcare services after my firstborn arrived in 2015. I am CPR and first aid certified, Love and Logic trained, and a licensed speech-language pathology assistant currently pursuing a Master's degree in speech-language pathology. I draw from my undergraduate coursework to create a language-rich environment that fosters communication and learning through play. Shannon was an excellent sitter for our toddler during a recent trip to Denver. She was very easy to work with heading up to the trip - responsive, more than happy to have a video intro call to make sure we felt comfortable leaving our little one with her, and accommodating with our complicated schedule for the trip. When watching our daughter, she was attentive, creative, and very confident in handling an energetic little girl! I would highly recommend Shannon for any nannying needs.
