I am a current student at UCCS working to get my teaching license to become a secondary social studies teacher. I am a history nerd and somewhat of a geek (Dr Who, comic books, Harry Potter). This summer, I tutored and ESL student in reading/writing/spelling/vocabulary. I enjoy helping with homework and projects, and to support students with their education. I worked at the YMCA for child care for 7 years. I had so much fun with kids ages 5-12yrs doing before and after school care and summer camp. I love working with students because I can act like a big kid. I worked for D49 for 3yrs at an alternative school with at-risk students. At this school I worked with and support students with behavioral/metal/emotional/physical disorders. I am certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, Universal Precautions, and various other trainings and workshops through the YMCA and D49. I nannied for Read more my friend's 3yr old son for the summer in 2013.
