Once I attended University I worked within Jumpstart, this was a work study program where I worked in a preschool setting and assisted teachers. I have experience in supervising children from watching over trips. As well as serving lunch/ snacks. Jumpstart had two specific sessions each week where Pace students like me would lead a small group of preschoolers, reading to them, and practicing the pronunciation of words. We would also practice the writing of each of the children s names, once they got a hang of their names we practiced writing other words. As a Jumpstart member we led activities with the classroom such as singing nursery rhymes, puzzles, and drawing. I’ve also taught at the YMCA and Educational Playcare. I have 4 years of childcare experience.
