Being the oldest child in my family, I learned to care for babies and children at an early age. I also learned to pitch in and help with the housework! My skills made me a popular sitter in my neighborhood, and I gained a lot of experience. I am now a recently retired elementary school teacher, at 65 years young. I just love children. I don't have children, but I am fortunate to have 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and 4 great-nieces and nephews. In my personal life, I enjoy many things. I love walking/hiking, birdwatching, reading, crafting, gardening, sewing, kayaking, and more.
