Hi! I am a nanny with 25 years of experience caring for children. I have a Master's Degree but have found that this is what I truly love. I have cared for 4 sets of infant twins as well as families with 4 children so I am very comfortable caring for and managing several young children. I have also worked with many families caring for their toddler and newborn simultaneously. I enjoy keeping children entertained through reading, outdoor fun and having an all around goofy time. I like to visit libraries, museums, farms and also a walk around the neighborhood in search of treasures. And I am a huge fan of arts and crafts. I like to employ creative and imaginative play and assure that children spend much time outdoors. I enjoy creating activities to help in a child's development as well as aiding them in meeting their milestones. I Read more believe that keeping a child's body and mind active is essential to proper development. I have also worked roles where my duties included, but were not limited to, weekly grocery shopping and unpacking groceries, dropping off/picking up dry cleaning, family laundry, resetting the home, all aspects of pet care including administration of medication and trips to the groomer, making store returns and purchases, family laundry, keeping track of items that are running out, managing items related to the home (ie home repairs and deliveries) switching out summer/winter clothes, organizing children's closets and dressers, children's doctor appointments and activities. I have a patient and nurturing personality, am very safety conscious, a strong communicator and can provide calm authority with warmth and caring. I have a high energy level, am proactive and flexible. I believe in setting boundaries with children and instilling manners, respect and good listening skills. I am also very comfortable with pets as I have 2 cats and a super sweet dog (when he's not tormenting the cats!).
