Hi :) My name is Shannon Downey and I've been babysitting for about 4 years now. I love spending time with kids and have been awarded the title of 'Expert Slime Maker' by a set of twin girls I've previously sat for. I am currently on winter break from attending the University of Hartford until January 23rd, however, once I return to school, I have no classes all Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, on any nights (after 5:30), so I am still very available. I used to tutor kids grades 4-6 after school and have tutored students in college chem as well. I also worked at the Canton Public Library all through high school, and still occasionally, helping with children's programs like book buddies, crafternoon, science Friday (my favorite), and baby sing along. I have also traveled internationally working with kids from ages 2-17 in the Dominican Republic, running a summer Read more camp called Camp Hispaniola, and with school girls in India. I love to cook and bake so meal preparation is no problem. I am also very comfortable with pets as I have 3 cats and a dog, and have been pet sitting for my neighbors 3 dogs, 1 cat, and their foster rabbits for years now.
