I can't recommend Cathy highly enough! We needed a sitter while we were visiting family in the area, and it was our first time leaving our 14 month old son with someone who wasn't in our immediate family. My husband and I were nervous about how our he would react with a new person, but Cathy has a wonderfully calming presence and arrived an hour before we had to leave to allow him time to get used to her. She went at his speed, finding ways to engage and allowing him to warm up to her slowly. She did a great job distracting him as we left, and he didn't look back after that. They played, explored and read books, including two lovely books she brought for him. He was so comfortable with her by the end of the evening, he fell asleep in her arms and she managed the transition to his crib flawlessly (something even we struggle with most nights). If we lived in the area, we would make evenings with Cathy a regular occurrence, and won't hesitate to contact her the next time we are visiting. Thank you, Cathy!
