Meet Nancy

The love of children has influenced my life for as long as I can remember. I babysat through high school for families in my neighborhood and was a guide in a preschool program run by my high school. I worked with disabled children in an elementary school for a few years. Ninety percent of that time I was a one on one paraprofessional with a severely handicapped young girl. For the past 20 years I have worked in a Montessori school. First as an assistant teacher and for the last 13 years as a Head Teacher. My classes consisted of 22 to 28, two and a half to six year old children. I have also worked with older elementary aged children through summer camp programs for the last 20 years. I have two grown children of my own and a new grandson. I am infant and child CPR certified and Read more have held this certification for the last 20 years. Guiding and loving children through their forming has been a passion that keeps expanding for me, with a deepening appreciation for the honor of being a part of that process. I love the outdoors and feel it's important for children to explore and learn about nature and our natural environment. I think it's important for children to have hands on experiential learning opportunities as they grow. I believe that is how we all learn best.
