I am looking for a child care position that will allow me to work part-time utilizing my most relevant experience as a stay at home mom. For 14 years, I was fortunate to stay home with my three wonderful sons. During this time, I cared for and provided educational and fun filled opportunities for my children such as library trips, museums excursions, children classes, playground, reading, playing, dancing and singing. As they grew older, I also participated and volunteered in many different educational and non-educational programs and committees at their schools. My oldest son (20) is in college; a biology major with a pre-med concentration. He is a high achieving student with a passion for sports as a former high school varsity basketball player and captain, and musician as a saxyphone player for 8yrs. My 18 year old high school senior is a very strong student with a passion for Read more basketball (varsity captain), and has many extracurricular interests. My 13 year old is in his final year of middle school and is a great student with strong athletic and musical abilities. All three boys are wonderful caring individual who tutor and help young children in sports and other activities. I am a college graduate with an extensive work history in the banking industry, prior to having children. I am interested in pursuing a part-portunity that will utilize the skills I have acquired while raising/parenting my children. I have plenty of hands on experience with children raising my three very active, energetic boys. I also have been responsible for many other children during play-dates, birthday party and sleepovers as well as provided some child care for relatives. I do love to get down on the floor and play, love the outdoors and love to read. As much as I love fun, I too love structure and feel a young child thrives in an environment when they know what to expect and experiences consistency. As a mom, I truly understand the feeling of wanting the very best for your child, and that includes the people you bring into their life. Also, I know that mom's need and should give themselves time to pursue their interests outside of the home. I am interested in a morning to mid-afternoon schedule a couple or few days a week.
