I have a 4 year old daughter who is the light of my life. She is the reason why I discovered my passion for teaching children. My whole life I've had younger siblings or nieces and nephews I have cared for. Out of all of those experiences there is one dominating theme: my fascination with how children learn. Children are so incredibly smart. One thing I've found is that they absorb information like sponges but have short attention spans, so if you are able to incorporate learning into something fun that involves getting up and moving around, it tends to stick better than just telling them once. My rates are low because I am just starting out with sitter city and would like to make a good reputation on the site before I feel I can charge more.
