My name is Jackie Outka. I graduated from Yale in May 2012 with a degree in Middle Eastern history. Since then, I have worked at several non-profits in the New Haven area, including an HIV/AIDS clinic, a refugee services agency, and an after-school tutoring facility for children. My experience is thus in three areas: 1) as a care companion, since I've served as a companion to many residents at the HIV clinic; 2) as a babysitter and nanny, since in addition to work at the tutoring facility, I have participated in numerous independent tutoring programs, worked as a babysitter and assistant summer school teacher, directed children in a summer theater production, and taught English to youth in India; and 3) as a pet sitter who has worked with both dogs and cats.
