I come to you with over 8 years of experience working with children from infancy to 13+ years old. I worked in a daycare facility (The Children's Place, Manchester, CT) for 5 years with children ages 2-6 years old. I then attended Eastern CT State University for my bachelors in child psychology and for my masters in early childhood education. During my school years I also was a nanny for a family of 3 children for about 5 years. When I started the kids were 6months, 3 and 6 years old. My responsibilities was helping with homework, meal prep, picking them up or dropping them off to extracurricular activities, playing with them, and putting them to bed. I then cared for a family with 2 children over a summer and they were 1 and 3 years old. My responsibilities for them were the same except just putting them down for Read more naps and keeping them busy with games and going outside. I have a pending certification for PK-3 grade. I have been a substitute teacher for the town of South Windsor, CT since the school year of 2013-2014. I have also been placed in 4 long term substitute positions within the town of South Windsor for 3 Kindergarten classrooms and one first grade classroom. I come highly recommended by staff members I have worked with. My passion is to teach and care for young children. My most recent long term position ended and it is hard to go on a day by day basis towards the end of the school year so I would like something more permanent especially with summer around the corner. If full time care is wanted past the summer, I am open to the idea to continue the position.
