I am a college graduate who recently relocated to Newport, RI. My original major was Speech and Language Pathology. So I've taken courses such as Communication Disorders ages birth to 5, child psychology, abnormal child psychology, developmental psychology and intro to school psychology. I later graduated with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics which is my passion. I have been a child care taker since I was 15 years old (now 22). My experience ranges from infants to 13 years old. I have always babysat for neighbors and family friends. Mostly two girls ages 3 and 5. Then, I was a camp counselor in 2012 and 2013 for girls ages 6-8. After that, I started watching a little girl I met at camp after school. My responsibilities included pick up from school, and dinner preparation. I currently am watching my God son who is 18 months and I absolutely adore Read more him. Your child will never be placed in front of a television while they are in my care. I always remind myself "what do I want for my own child if they were in someone else care." I will gladly take your children on day trips, or just plan an exciting day full of activities around the house! I don't have a background check done through SitterCity but I recently had one done through UCONN since I will be working in the school system in the fall. I will gladly provide you with that documentation as well as my active CPR certification. Currently, I have full-time availability but I am not necessary looking for anything full-time. I prefer working on a "here and there, as needed" basis but I would love to chat anyways about full-time positions to see if it's a good fit!
