Hi! My name is Emily, and I am a responsible, capable, and caring 31-year old tutor and figure skater, passionate about the fostering positive and accepting connections in early childhood development. I am not the most experienced sitter however I am intuitive, affectionate, and responsible and eager to connect with my community as a caretaker. I graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University with a degree in English, and have a background in dance instruction as well as academic tutoring for kids ages 3 to 18. I am flexible, dependable, and highly communicative in scheduling with a great deal of experience managing timeframes and responsibilities independently as a self-employed dance and personal fitness instructor. I have a calm, curious, and energetic demeanor that is open and empathic to the naturally imaginative and intuitive energies of children, and I love fostering a safe, active, and fun environment for them to Read more grow, learn, and explore. I am passionate about the outdoors and being physically and intellectually active. I love reading and writing and participating in nature, and the ways in which these activities encourage the unique, creative potential of children (and adults) in becoming their best, more caring, more regulated, connected, and joyful selves. I am always open to feedback and new ideas based on individual parenting styles. I am eager to help provide relief for families in the home however I am able, including an ability to assist in basic housekeeping, food preparation, pet care, transportation, etc.
