Since middle school I have had a passion for working with children. Ever since the age of five years old I have been involved in after school programs and or extra curriculum activities. As I became older I would start to babysit my younger siblings and family members. I joined a program called leaders in training which train young teens how to be a leader for young children. After being involved in leaders in training I got my first job for the city of New Britain working for an after school program called Parks and Recreation. My job duties there consisted of : Supervising a large variety of children, helping children with homework, communicated with parents about children’s behaviors, issued out snacks, coordinated group activities for children and maintained a fun and safe environment. I now work for an organization called the YWCA of New Britain where my job duties Read more are relatively similar. My most recent employment was Autism Care Partners where I worked as a behavior Technician. Working as a behavior Technician I worked closely with children with autism. Working with children is such a privilege because you get to make a positive impact on their lives.
