Hello! My name is Sammeie and I am currently enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Hartford. I will be returning there this fall as a sophomore, so I'm seeking a summer position only. I have been babysitting for various families in my neighborhood since I was 14 years old, and have experience working with a maximum of 5 children at once. I have a passion for working with kids of every age, and enjoy having fun with them, as well as watching them learn and grow. I am very creative and an avid crafter, so I love preparing various crafts and science experiments for the children I babysit. Many of the previous families I have worked with, had a pool so I do have experience lifeguarding many children, and am a strong swimmer. I am a caring and sympathetic person, so will always offer comforting advise, or Read more a gentle hug any time of the day! Apart from babysitting, I would really enjoy tutoring. I graduated both high school and my first year of college with a 4.0 GPA. Math and science are my strong suits, but I can easily help a younger child with reading and writing as well. Recently, I volunteered in a kindergarten classroom at the University of Hartford Magnet School, and was upset when Covid-19 put a stop to that wonderful experience. On my free time, I enjoy crocheting, yoga, sketching, photography, tie-dye, cross stitch, swimming, water-skiing, and spending time with family, children, and animals. I am excited to meet you!
