I am a parent and step parent of two young girls. I often consider, what would I want to see in a sitter's bio? Obviously he/she would say they love children, that's a given. I think the most important things about parenting, and sitting, are making a child feel safe, secure and loved. Consistency with small rules are important in re-enforcing behaviors; we always wash our hands before dinner, we always say please and thank you! I love doing little things to make kids smile. I feel like it makes them appreciate the little things. Some times I will put a sticker in my daughters lunch box or I'll cut her sandwich into a fun shape. A fun day doesn't always have to be a water park, how about a good old fashion slip and slide in the back yard? I'm a single mom, as many of my friends are. Read more Most of my sitting experience comes from that rotation of helping each other and being supportive. Sometimes this means having several children at one time so I am experienced at balancing several children of different ages (and interests, and likes and dislikes!!). I would enjoy helping a family balance their career goals and their family time. I don't think there is anything more rewarding than investing time into a child.
