Hi, im Emily, I’m an 18 year old senior in high school currently employed at Great Beginning’s day care center for the last two years, but am looking for a change of pace with babysitting/nannying. I work with ages mainly 2-3 but have experience with ages 4-8 as well. This position as a caregiver has given me the skills in diaper care, helping with potty training, feeding, putting down for nap, and working on cognitive motor skills. I have always loved working with kids and interacting with them. As a childcare worker I am very enthusiastic, supportive, and caring towards all of my kids and treat them all with fairness and equality. I am a reliable worker and am capable of driving myself and children, running errands, handling pets, potty training, meal prep, and bedtime for kids. Asides from work experience, I have grown up helping take care of my Read more non- verbal younger brother who has severe special needs and epilepsy. With him being so medically fragile and needing constant supervision and care it has caused for me to learn how to use feeding tubes, handling older ages with diaper changing, other medical care etc, and overall knowing how to naturally interact with special need individuals. Due to my little brother, this is one of the main reasons I love to work with children. Growing up with such an involved sibling it has taught me patience, compassion, empathy and how to communicate with all types of people which is why I believe I am a good pick for taking care of all types of children and understand all individuals.
