Hello! I am currently a sophomore at Loyola University Maryland majoring in communications and I will be transferring to St. John's University for my junior and senior years to major in journalism. I am hoping to find a summer nannying/babysitting position while I am home for the summer. I am a very friendly, organized, and hardworking person and I believe those qualities especially help me to be able to work with kids so well. I have been babysitting for about 7 years, starting in junior high when I took a babysitting course through American Red Cross and became a certified babysitter. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Blood borne Pathogen Safety and have worked as a lifeguard for my town's family swim nights. I spent two summers as a camp counselor for children between the ages of 9 and 10 in Middlebury, CT. I also have experience with Read more watching pets when on vacation (dogs, cats, chickens). I became a child care provider for the simple fact that I enjoy children. Along with my work experience, I have volunteer experience with children. I was a mentor for a 5th grader at my town's elementary school my junior and senior year of high school. I taught a water safety program to 1st graders at all three of the elementary schools in Seymour (It was called Stewie the Duck Water Safety program).
