I have worked with children since becoming a mother’s helper at the age of 13.   When I turned 16, I got my first job at Briarfield Day School in Stratford, CT.  I worked at Briarfield for 8 years.  During my time there, I worked with infants, toddlers, 3 year olds, 4 years olds, and I ran the summer camp for school aged children.   After Briarfield, I spent a year at Bright Horizons in Shelton, CT where I was the lead teacher in the Toddler Room.  I attended many First Aide and Epi Pen trainings during these 9 years.   Aside from my employment in childcare centers, I have also been a babysitter for 15 years.  I have worked with many families over the years including 2 long term babysitting jobs where I picked up the children from school and stayed with them until their parents got home from Read more work (1 family with 4 kids, and 1 family with 3 kids).   After Bright Horizons, I changed my career path but I continue to work with families as an occasional night and weekend babysitter when needed.
