Hi! My name is Julia and I'm a recent college grad with a degree in Biochemistry. I'm currently in my gap year before Dental School and looking to help out some families! I have lots of caretaking experience with children and individuals with special needs, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities through my work with the Mental Health Association. I have babysat before for families while in college, and it was such a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved. I have also worked at a summer camp before with children from 5-13 as an educator. Currently I work as a tutor, so I'd love to help your kids with their homework and challenge the way they think. I've spent almost three years working in group homes for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and have been through training to handle complex physical and emotional behaviors from the clients. Read more A staple of this position was also meal prep with very strict guidelines, and my residents were always happy to see that I was the one cooking that day. Daily chores were an expectation, and you can expect the same! I am a very artistic individual, and can be found crocheting and painting in my free time, so craft time is a given with me.
