Hello! My name is Samara, and I’m a senior at UConn studying Political Science and Human Development & Family Sciences. I’m passionate about supporting kids both academically and personally, and I hope to pursue a career in family and child advocacy law in the future. I have several years of childcare experience through babysitting for families in my neighborhood, caring for both toddlers and older children during extended vacations. I’ve also volunteered and worked as a tutor, in which I helped elementary and middle school students with English and math at a local nonprofit, and tutored high school students in Algebra I & II, Accelerated Precalculus, AP Statistics, and SAT prep through HiFive Tutoring. On top of that, I’ve assisted with soccer club summer camps, keeping kids engaged, active, and confident while preparing for tryouts. In addition to childcare and tutoring, I love to cook and bake, and I’m always Read more happy to prepare meals or snacks. I’m CPR certified from my previous job at Planet Fitness, so safety is always a priority. Families I’ve worked with know me as dependable, kind, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping children learn, grow, and feel supported.
