Hi there... My name is Melanie and I work as an Alzheimers and dementia care Specialist for a large Assisted Living company. While my work is wonderfully rewarding, children are now and always have been my passion. I am a college graduate who has worked with children (many with special needs) for over 25 years. I am fun, energetic and trustworthy and have a number of references who can provide any other information that may be helpful for you. I am first and foremost a Mom of school aged children. I know first hand what a challenge it is to find that special person with whom you will trust your most precious little one/ones. I am highly skilled in newborn/infant care...everything from diapering, feeding, and bathing to getting the baby on a schedule. I worked as a nanny in Greenwich as my first job out of college. We feel so lucky to have found Melanie, she’s a gem! She’s incredible with our 13 months old son Jack and an all around wonderful human. We started working with her 9 months ago when Jack was just 4 months old. She is warm, kind and always reliable. We feel completely at ease every time we leave with her there, we know our son is in great and caring hands. He’s safe, cared for and loved. I would recommend her ten times over, we adore working with her and hope to continue for years to come!

Melanie is extremely reliable and responsible. Great ability to handle a 4 and 2 year old and control tantrums/conflicts between the two as needed. My kids love her and I love coming home to happy, fed and cleaned up kids before bed.

What a relief. It's been wonderful having Melanie watch our children. We have multiple caregivers for our two children, soon to be 2 and 4 years old. However, with Melanie is the house well kept and dishes washed and dry next to the sink when we come home. Melanie is always prepared with games and activities for the kids. She has a minivan and car seats and is ready for babysitting at our home or about town. She sings songs with them and makes them feel comfortable by teaching them crafts or how to use her iPad. With Melanie B. we have someone we can trust and count on with our home and children and look forward to being able to hire her again for another night out or for daycare when we need extra coverage for our children.

Melanie was my babysitter for 1 year. Unfortunately, we are moving out of state. She & her whole family are amazing people! They were a perfect fit for my son Evan & I! From the moment I entered her home I knew she was the right babysitter for my son. She is a natural with children & Evan warmed up to her right away! Her home is child friendly! Being a single mom, Melanie & her family rescued me many times to pick up my son at daycare, cover the last minute for me & even had Evan stay overnight for my business trips!!! She even folded my laundry! She is a Godsent! Melanie is very involved in the community & people in Wallingford knew her & everyone says the same thing...She is amazing! It always warmed my heart that I found a gift in having her as my sitter!! She will be sooooo missed & is irreplacable!
