Hi! My name is Megan, and it's great to meet you! I'm 26 years old and originally from CT. I have my Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I taught high school English back in CT, and I currently work part time at a Denver high school as a college counselor. In my free time, I love to read, write, do art, and spend time outdoors. Although I spend my weekdays working with high schoolers, I also find so much joy working with younger kids as well! Despite having a full-time job during the week, I am very flexible on the weekends, and I would love the opportunity to take care of your child/children! I started babysitting at the age of 14, and I regularly cared for 3 kids who were 4 months, 4 years, and 7 years old at the time. I Read more stayed with this family all throughout high school and during school breaks while I was in college. I still keep in touch with the family, and it's been amazing to see them grow up! I've had several other babysitting jobs over the years, including working with a 7-year-old child with special needs, and I have done volunteer work with elementary schoolers as well. I am a hard-working, responsible, and reliable person. I take my work seriously, but I also know how to have fun! People describe me as warm, friendly, open-minded, and creative. As a babysitter, I am completely engaged with the kid(s) to ensure that they are happy, entertained, and of course safe in my care. I love to plan stuff to do with the kid(s) including arts & crafts, reading, visiting the park, (or other outings), or doing whatever activity they want to do! I am definitely not the type of babysitting who just throws on a movie--I truly care! I love animals, so pets are not a problem at all and I would happily care for them as well! I have a pet bunny, and I also regularly dog and cat-sit for friends. I also have reliable transportation, and I am willing to transport the kid(s) with your permission for outings. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, I would love to talk! I am definitely willing to speak on the phone and/or visit to meet the kids ahead of time if you would like.
