I have loved caring for children since I was a child myself: I was the 8 year old who entertained my younger cousins at family gatherings and spent after school hours at the neighbor’s learning how to care for a newborn and her proud toddler sister. I worked as a nanny for several families throughout high school and college, caring for every age group from infant to pre-teen. I have worked in church nurseries, drop off daycare centers and I spent two summers working as a nature counsellor at a summer camp for inner-city children (very challenging but incredibly rewarding too!) I am naturally drawn to children and I marvel at their innate curiosity and desire to learn. I love engaging children in creative activities that making learning a positive and FUN experience. A few years ago, I returned to Weston, where I grew up, to be closer to my Read more family. I have also been blessed to help raise my twin nephews (they are now 5). I spent a number of years in ‘the corporate world’ but I must admit that it has been my work as a caregiver that has been the most rewarding and fulfilling.
