I have been working with children in various capacities since I started working at 16. For the past ten years I have been babysitting/nannying for children spanning in age from newborn to middle school. I also taught horse back riding lessons and ran summer camp for multiple summers. I enjoyed working with youth so much that after receiving my Bachelors in Psychology at CCSU, I continued on to receive my Masters in School Counseling at UConn. I am now in my second year of working as a high school counselor. In the past I always received my nannying and babysitting jobs through word of mouth by the families I worked for. However, my network of families is now growing older and in less need of extra help. Since I am a school schedule I am looking to fill a couple afternoons/evenings a week with some extra work and thought I Read more would give Sitter City a try! As for my hobbies - I enjoy being outdoors and active doing things such as horseback riding or hiking. I am also creative and enjoy art. I enjoy using that creativity to help keep children engaged and happy. I also love reading and playing sports with the kids that I care for. I have been told that I am very responsible and trustworthy. Parents have regularly allowed me to drive their children in either my car or theirs. I am upbeat and energetic.
