Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Maryland. I have a degree in English Literature. I am a proficient speaker of French and a basic speaker of German. I have been babysitting since I was 12, so I have a ton of experience, and can provide you with references if you are interested. I am a certified Lifeguard (I lifeguarded part time at school). I am comfortable performing CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, and First-Aid, in addition to other safety skills. So I am confident that I would be able to keep your children safe while we have fun together! I have also been a licensed driver since I was 16, and am very comfortable driving. I have driven all of the children I have babysat for. I share a car with my brother during the summer, so I am not sure which Read more days I will get the car yet. A potential solution could be that I drive your car (if that is an option). I am also comfortable cooking basic meals for children, and am very used to preparing meals that adhere to dietary restrictions. I love kids -- I am comfortable caring for children of all ages! Some of my favorite activities to do with kids while babysitting are riding bikes, going on walks, going to the park, drawing, reading, playing board games, and playing dress-up. During the summer, I love taking kids to the pool! I have a lot of energy and honestly enjoy spending time with children. I am looking for a consistent babysitting/nannying job during the day this summer. I am available until the end of August (for some reason the website made me list August 8th as my last day, but that is not true). Ideally, I would like to work Monday-Thursday, but my days and hours are flexible. I am also of course available for occasional babysitting during the evening (if discussed in advance). I am sure we would be able to work out a schedule that is agreeable to both parties!
