Hi DC parents! I am a freelance writer and illustrator, working towards becoming clinical psychologist. I love spending time with kids and teenagers in a variety of roles as a caregiver, mentor and lively friend (fun art projects, cooking experiments, and back yard adventures are my speciality). While in college I babysat for two families: one with two girls aged 8 and 11, on with a boy and girl aged 6 and 9, and worked several hours each week tutoring a sophomore in high school. (Regarding tutoring, I can assist with specific subject material as well as general study skills, organizational skills and test taking strategies, tailoring sessions to your child's personality, needs, talents and weaknesses.) A little more about me: I'm originally from England, have a lively intellectual and creative mind, and love to read, draw, play guitar, paint, ride horses, run, practice yoga, and meditation. I live in Read more central DC but am happy to travel anywhere that is metro accessible. I'd love the chance to help out and spend time with with your kids, and hope to hear from you!
