My name is Odetta Brown, I have been a child care provider for over 12 years. I presently work as a Pre-k teacher at a small private school in DC. I have worked with children ages 2 1/2 - 5 in the following developmental areas; Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive, Science/Discovery, Social Studies and Language and Literacy. I am now looking to change careers, still providing child care but in a home environment. I am a parent myself. I raised my son as a single mother. My son is now in Grad School, working, very independent and doing very well in life. Being the parent of a child has given me the ability to be able to give my child on one interactions, being a teacher of many children has given me the ability to be able to multi - task and function with multiply children.
