Being the second oldest of four girls, taking care of children was at first an obligation which soon became a passion. After years of experience from baby sitting my sisters and my younger cousins , I started reaching out to other family members and family friends, just for fun. I later furthered this passion outside of my house and others and started as a teachers aid at KiPP DC Discover Academy where I worked with Pre K and Kindergarten students for two years of my high school career. While at the same time, I started to work at the nursery for my church on a monthly basis. This passion continued when I went off to college two years ago. At Gettysburg College, I volunteer at the local primary school where I assist tutoring kids and had the privilege of teaching a lesson with third graders. I wish to continue to Read more pursue my interest and passion for working with and watching kids while I am at home for the summer. I believe that education is an essential component in the growth and development of a child, so I enjoy teaching kids on a daily basis whether it be random fact, life lessons, answering questions they're curious about, or helping them get ahead in the classes. I am also very outgoing and really enjoy the company of kids so I like to do a lot of games and activities with the kids such as taking them to the parks or museums, having story time, game time, cooking time, or simply conversations with them about their day.
