I'm 34 and an elementary ESL in Prince George's County Public Schools (I’ve taught graders k-3). I did a lot of babysitting throughout high school and college, did my work-study in college as a part-time aide the Child Development Center on campus. After college, I worked as an assistant teacher in a preschool in the three-year old classroom, then dropped down to part-time, when I started working as a nanny 2 days a week and in the school as a floater/substitute in the school 3 days a week. I've worked with all ages, mostly from newborn through around 10 years old. Having worked in preschools and daycares and now an elementary school, I'm comfortable working with multiple children at a time (including infant twins!) At this point in my career, my availability is limited to weekends and school breaks.

We were resigned to staying in on NYE when our sitter backed out at the last minute, but then I posted a Hail Mary just in case, and Lindsay came through!! Both our 4-year-old and 10-month-old took to her right away, and she was able to keep them occupied while we finished getting ready and enjoyed a few hours of child-free fun. Not only were the kids happy and well cared for (i.e., no bawling when we left), she got them both to bed and even put the food away!!

Lindsay responded at a few hours notice, was easy to communicate with, arrived early. Although our original request said "babysit a sleeping baby" he was having trouble settling the night Lindsay arrived. She was keen to meet him, engaged him in great play, and was clearly mindful of safety and appropriate limits for toddlers! After a small amount of time, she cooed him back into rest, and we had a great night out. Highly recommended! Thanks, Lindsay!!

Lindsay was prompt and followed our instructions well. She was also good at breaking the ice with the boys when she first arrived - they were both won over immediately. We look forward to using her services again.
