My grandmother taught me that to be a great babysitter you need to be willing to get down on the child's level. That could mean literally getting down and playing with them and/or helping them comprehend things that aren't so easy to understand. I am so silly in normal life that being around children is really easy. I can be myself and they love it. I am capable of cooking meals or cleaning up around the house as well. I really want to be a blessing to the family I am sitting for- not just the lady who comes in and gets out.
