I have grown up in a large family full of children and now that I have moved to DC I am missing that in my life! I have spent two summers babysitting two girls from the time they were 1 year and 3 years of age, respectively, to 3 and 5 years of age. I cared for them three full days a week and other occasional hours. This included cooking meals for them, taking them to the park/pool/ice cream, etc., providing medicine if necessary and getting them ready for the day or bed (teeth brushing, changing of clothes, etc.). Additionally I provided babysitting services for a boy with muscular dystrophy during the school year for the past 5 years; from the time he was 6 years of age to 11 years of age. I babysat occasional nights and weekends (usually twice a week). This included providing meals, getting ready for Read more bed, and taking him out into town to museums, parks, pool, etc. It also included helping him with his physical therapy and administering medication.
