I am a Howard University student studying Psychology with a minor in Human Development. For a little on my background; My mother's side of the family are originally from Argentina so I learned English and Spanish at the same time. At age 11 my family moved to Buenos Aires for a year so that my sister and I could could experience living abroad. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I have worked with a set of twins, a family with two boys ages 5 and 2 and several other families with less frequency. The largest group of children I have looked after on my own, as a babysitter, is 5 ranging from 2 to 12 years old. In high school I spent a month working at a daycare in Evanston (ages ranging from 2 to nearly 4) as an independent project. I also worked at a Read more daycare/after school program with children ranging from 18 months-10 years of age in Iowa city that same year. The summer of 2018 I independently ran 3 classrooms teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) to children ages 3-14 in Washington DC. This past summer I worked at a community health center/clinic as a care coordinator and asthma educator intern. I am now back in DC for my senior year and am excited to continue working with children as a babysitter/nanny while I complete my studies.
