Experienced childcare professional looking for summer work! I have worked 4 summers as a day camp counselor and I love my work. This year I am staying local to DC and am looking to continue my work in childcare. Over those 4 summers I was responsible for supervising 9 campers at a time, teaching them life skills, exploring the wilderness, and planning crafts and games for them everyday. I was also responsible for training junior counselors and counselors-in-training. At times, I would step in for the unit director, at which times I was responsible for supervising and entertaining 100+ kids as well as 13+ staff members. I am experienced in conflict resolution, behavior management, and more! At the end of the day, I helped kids have the best summers of their lives and that is what I hope to continue this year.
