Hi, my name is Alyssa and I am so excited to meet you! I’m currently attending Del Tech Community College as a sophomore for Early Childhood Education. My experience with babysitting/nannying as of right now I am working with a family and taking care of their son but I started when I was in the 5th and 6th grade when my aunt was running a at home daycare and I used to help her when I got out of school to entertain the kids and watch over them. When I got into middle school I started to watch my three cousins I still do until this day. When COVID hit and we had to do school online my cousin stayed with me and my mom for a month or two and i was responsible for helping her with her homework and waking her up on time so she could get on zoom.I used to also help my cousin watch a family friend of hers newborn baby and their young son. Then I occasionally watch my neighbor younger daughter when she comes over and plays on the weekend or sometimes when she get off the bus. I consider myself a heritage speaker who is still learning. I did get babysitter certification through the Red Cross as a teenager and I have a lot of experience with kids. I also have a recent CPR certification. I have many younger relatives, lots of coaching experience with children of all ages, summer camp counselor experience, and have babysat children less than a year old to 13 years old. I can create a fun yet structured (whatever that means to the parent) environment, design activities, and can also introduce a subtle learning environment which won't bore your children.
