I love working with children and animals! I worked for the Brandywine YMCA for four years. In the summer I worked at the Y's Hanby Outdoor Center as a Camp Counselor. I worked with children from ages Four-Sixteen. This involved specialty camps, sports camps, teen camps, traditional day camp and preschool camps and classes. I was chosen to be a Senior Camp Counselor because of my enthusiasm, leadership abilities and appreciation for children. I am trained in first aid, CPR, child abuse prevention, risk management areas, social interactions and building relationships. I organized fun activities for the children every day that created opportunities for the children to build relationships, self-esteem, a sense of independence. Along with working for the YMCA in the summer, I worked for their School's Out program during the school year as a Site Assistant. This took place at Brandywood Elementry School where I ran the after Read more care program and at Lombardy Elementry School where I ran the morning care program. I would also travel to other schools if need be and I took on babysitting jobs on the side. I am also an animal lover. I have always had a lot of pets growing up and I have been dog sitting for the past ten years.
