My name is Corrine. I'm 21 years old and a nursing student. I previously attended Widener University and am now taking a summer class at Delaware Tech through the first week of July. I’ll be continuing at Del Tech in the fall. I commute to campus and live near the University of Delaware. I’ve been working with kids since I was 14—starting as a volunteer at a local summer camp and babysitting for families in my neighborhood. At 16, I was hired by the camp, and I now work with the City of Newark’s before and after care program. I currently babysit for several families I’ve known for years, and I truly enjoy what I do. I love building relationships with kids and watching their personalities grow. It’s rewarding to be someone they can rely on and feel safe with, whether we’re playing games, reading books, or just talking. I Read more really value being part of their support system and creating fun, positive experiences for them. I have experience with children as young as 6–8 months all the way up to 13 years old. I’ve cared for kids with a variety of needs, including epilepsy, Down syndrome, autism, ADHD/ADD, mobility impairments, and partial blindness. My experience spans casual babysitting, structured care in before/after-school programs, and summer camps. As a nursing student, I’ve completed coursework in child development, basic first aid, and safety. I’m CPR certified and trained in how to respond to seizures, allergic reactions, and other common emergencies. I’m also comfortable with feeding, diapering, bedtime routines, and light housekeeping.
