Hi, I'm Ashelynne! I work as a registered nurse at the Naval Hospital in downtown San Diego. I am Active Duty and currently stationed here, and loving it! I work on a surgical floor currently, but plan to transition to the Labor and Delivery floor soon! My passion is children, and I will be going back to school in the next few years to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Most recently, before moving from FL to CA, I worked with a family with a 3-month-old and 2-year-old and was very comfortable doing so. I was 12 y/o when my twin brothers were born, so I was Mommy Jr from a young age! I have worked as a camp counselor for 2 summers with children aged 5-12 y/o. Being on the surgical floor, I work with adults only and honestly just miss being around babies and kids! The surgical floor I work on is primarily elective surgeries; therefore, the patient's are almost guaranteed to not be sick because their surgery gets canceled if they are! I work a nurses schedule with very random days off--sometimes I have weekends off, sometimes I have weekdays off. I am all for a last minute text for the need of a sitter; if I'm not at work, I'll be there! So yes, I do work full time, but if I'm off, I am happy to help you and your family out! P.S. This really shouldn't matter, but to be respectful and not surprise anyone, I am a Muslim! I wear a hijab. As long as no men after reaching puberty are in the home, I can remove my scarf! I will spend 0 time trying to convert anyone, and you can tell whatever you want to your children about my scarf and I will stick to it as long as it's respectful!

Ashlynne is wonderful! She stepped in at the last minute to take care of my sudden babysitting needs. She communicated very well by email and telephone and even sent a text to reassure me that she was on her way. She is very responsible; she took excellent care of my little girl (9), little boy (6) and the dog! And she was also really great fun. My kids adore her, and keep asking when she's coming back!
