Hey, I'm Savannah! I am 20 and currently enrolled in college. For as long as I can remember I have always loved kids! I have a little brother and sister who I've always helped watch when my mom was away. I also help out a lot with my mom's friends when they have needed a babysitter. Since eighth grade, I have had babysitting jobs throughout my summers. I was a cheerleader for 5 years which has had lots of experiences around different age groups of kids. I'm going to school for my major in early childhood education, I'm so excited to become a teacher! Previously I was a preschool teacher for 1 year olds and have done my DCF hours. We didn’t get passed our initial messages and a phone call. So I don’t want to give her an overall rating and can’t rate her childcare skills. I was just very disappointed because we’ve been looking for someone for awhile. After talking to her, she seemed very nice and polite, and responded to messages quickly. So I was looking forward to meeting her in person. We set up a time, the day after our phone conversation, for her to come over so we could all get to know each other a little better, and see if it was a good fit for everyone. I texted her at 10 am and she texted back at 11, an hour before our appointment, to say she was offered another job and didn’t want to waste our time. She had mentioned that she was taking the summer off from her college courses. So I guess it’s possible that she got a full-time job and wouldn’t have any more availability. It was nice that she messaged. But something was just a bit off. Because I had just spoken to her the day before. I was only looking for someone for occasional help and when I messaged her to say this, in case she misunderstood. She never responded. I just thought it was inconsiderate.
