I am 24 years old and I am currently a first-year graduate student at DePaul University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am studying to become a Child Psychologist. I have always had a passion working with children since high school - starting with part-time babysitting in my neighborhood, joining organizations in my community to help those in need, and tutoring foster children of all ages. I am a strong believer of the importance of mindfulness through various self-care activities. My area of focus at DePaul has provided me with necessary skills to develop effective verbal communication skills in combination with learning how to apply my formal education to learn a new set of skills.
